The much-awaited Bigg Boss Kannada 13 has officially begun, with 16 contestants entering the house during the grand premiere on September 6, 2026. Hosted by Kiccha Sudeep, the latest season brings together Kannada film actors, television personalities, a model and reality-show contestant, along with participants who earned their places through the pre-launch Bigg Boss Agnipariksha selection process.
The confirmed line-up features familiar television and cinema faces such as Jagadish MB, Soundarya Shetty, Sangeetha Bhat, Kavya Gowda, Gagan Chinappa and Tandav Ram, while contestants including Asiya Firdose, Vaishnavi Koundinya and Yashas Krishna add more television experience to the house.
The season also gives commoners a significant presence through Agnipariksha contestants Modern Mahakavi Manja, Dhanush, Kiran Shashtry and Likith Gondi.
Here is the complete list of all 16 contestants.
1. Jagadish MB – Jaggu Mamma
Jagadish MB, popularly known as Jaggu Mamma, is a Kannada actor who gained recognition for his role in Love Mocktail 3. His comic timing and distinctive personality have helped him attract attention among Kannada audiences.
Jagadish entered the Bigg Boss house as the first contestant of the 13th season. Coming from a humble background, his journey into the entertainment industry has been marked by struggles and aspirations.
His natural humour and outspoken personality could make him one of the contestants to watch in the early weeks.
2. Soundarya Shetty – Sandy
Soundarya Shetty, popularly known as Sandy, is a model, content creator and reality television personality who has roots in Mangaluru.
She became widely known after appearing on MTV Splitsvilla 16: Pyaar Ya Paisa, where she emerged as a finalist. Her confident personality and experience in reality television could prove useful inside the Bigg Boss house.
Soundarya has also been associated with modelling, dance and beauty pageants. Her entry gives Bigg Boss Kannada 13 a contestant who already understands the pressures and strategic dynamics of reality television.
3. Avinash Shatamarshan
Avinash Shatamarshan brings considerable theatre and artistic experience to Bigg Boss Kannada 13.
He is known as a Kannada actor, theatre artist, writer and director and has worked across stage and cinema. His film credits include Kannadakkagi Ondannu Otti and Dayavittu Gamanisi.
Unlike contestants who come primarily from television or mainstream reality shows, Avinash’s theatre background could bring a different perspective to the house.
4. Prathama Prasad
Prathama Prasad, daughter of veteran actress Vinaya Prasad, is another familiar name from the Kannada entertainment industry.
She has worked in Kannada cinema and television and now gets an opportunity to establish herself through a platform where viewers can see her personality outside scripted roles.
Her journey inside the house could also be closely watched because of her connection to a well-known film family. However, Prathama has indicated an interest in creating an identity of her own beyond simply being known as Vinaya Prasad’s daughter.
5. Om Prakash Rao
Veteran filmmaker and actor Om Prakash Rao brings years of Kannada cinema experience to the Bigg Boss house.
He has previously been associated with Bigg Boss Kannada Season 4, where he entered as a wildcard contestant. His return to the franchise makes him one of the more experienced contestants in the new season.
With his straightforward personality and long association with the Kannada film industry, Om Prakash Rao could become one of the house’s outspoken personalities.
6. Sangeetha Bhat
Sangeetha Bhat is a familiar face in Kannada television and cinema.
She began her television journey with shows including Panjaradha Gili, Bhagyavantharu and Chandrachakori. She later made her film debut with Preethi Geethi Ityaadi and appeared in movies including Mamu Tea Angadi, Eradane Sala, Dayavittu Gamanisi, Kismath, Anuktha, Alidu Ulidavaru and Aadyaa.
Her acting experience and expressive personality could make her journey particularly interesting as viewers get to see her away from scripted characters.
7. Kavya Gowda
Television actress Kavya Gowda is best known for playing Shreshta in the popular Kannada serial Bhagyalakshmi.
The role helped Kavya develop a strong following among Kannada television viewers. Her transition from a scripted serial to reality television is one of the interesting aspects of her participation.
During her introduction, Kavya spoke candidly about being a messy person and struggling with organisation — something that could become a humorous challenge inside a house where contestants have to share responsibilities and follow routines.
8. Tandav Ram
Tandav Ram is a Kannada television and film actor who became popular for his role as Ramanna in the hit serial Jodi Hakki.
Originally from Hassan, Tandav developed an interest in acting through theatre and trained at Rangayana in Mysuru. He later appeared in television shows including Krishna Rukmini, Bala Aparoopa Nam Jodi and Jodi Hakki.
His film credits include Mareyelaare, Ondh Kathe Hella and Abbabba. Beyond acting, Tandav has an interest in bodybuilding and has also ventured into production.
9. Gagan Chinappa
Gagan Chinappa is a Kannada actor known for his television work, including Mangalagowri Maduve.
He has previously been associated with a Bigg Boss Kannada mini-season, giving him some familiarity with the franchise and its format.
Gagan’s quick wit and sarcastic style could add a different flavour to the house. His entry also gives him an opportunity to connect with viewers beyond his television roles.
10. Asiya Firdose
Asiya Firdose is a Kannada television actress known for her work in serials such as Kanyakumari and Shravani Subramanya.
She played Kannika in Kanyakumari before taking on the lead role of Shravani in Shravani Subramanya.
Bigg Boss Kannada 13 marks an opportunity for Asiya to step away from scripted television and allow viewers to see her real personality, reactions and relationships inside the reality-show environment.
11. Vaishnavi V Koundinya
Vaishnavi Koundinya is another television personality entering the Bigg Boss Kannada house.
She has previously been associated with a Bigg Boss mini-season, meaning she is not entirely new to the franchise.
Her previous experience with the format could give her an advantage when it comes to understanding nominations, tasks, relationships and the unpredictable dynamics inside the house.
12. Yashas Krishna
Yashas Krishna is known for his work in the Kannada television serial Pavitra Bandhana.
During his Bigg Boss introduction, he reportedly spoke about trusting people easily as one of his weaknesses.
That admission could become significant during the season because the Bigg Boss house often tests contestants’ friendships, alliances and ability to judge people around them.
Four Contestants Enter Through Bigg Boss Agnipariksha
One of the major features of Bigg Boss Kannada 13 is the presence of contestants who earned their places through Bigg Boss Agnipariksha, the pre-launch selection format for commoners.
The four contestants are Modern Mahakavi Manja, Dhanush, Kiran Shashtry and Likith Gondi.
13. Modern Mahakavi Manja
Manjunath, popularly known as Modern Mahakavi Manja, earned his place through Bigg Boss Agnipariksha.
He is known for his distinctive style of speaking in rhymes, which helped him stand apart from the other aspirants.
Unlike the established actors and television personalities in the house, Manja represents the commoner category and enters the show with a unique personality that could quickly attract attention.
14. Dhanush
Dhanush, a Guinness World Record holder, is another Agnipariksha contestant who secured his place in Bigg Boss Kannada 13.
His journey to the main show involved challenges and attempts to prove himself during the selection process.
His entry gives the season another contestant whose story is different from the established entertainment personalities competing for the title.
15. Kiran Shashtry
Kiran Shashtry also earned his place in Bigg Boss Kannada 13 through Agnipariksha.
His performance in the pre-launch competition helped him secure a position among the final housemates. He reportedly became one of the more talked-about Agnipariksha contestants during the selection process.
His entry could be particularly interesting because he enters the main show after already experiencing the pressure of competition and public attention.
16. Likith Gondi
Likith Gondi is the fourth contestant to enter Bigg Boss Kannada 13 through the Agnipariksha route.
Unlike established actors and television stars, Likith enters the house with an opportunity to build a wider public identity through Bigg Boss.
His selection represents the show’s continued effort to bring fresh faces into the competition alongside established names from the Kannada entertainment industry.

What Makes Bigg Boss Kannada 13 Different?
The biggest attraction of this season is the mix of established entertainment personalities and fresh commoner contestants.
On one side, the house has actors such as Jagadish MB, Sangeetha Bhat, Kavya Gowda, Tandav Ram and Gagan Chinappa. On the other, the Agnipariksha contestants enter without the same level of mainstream entertainment-industry exposure.
This combination could create very different strategies inside the house. The experienced television and film personalities may have an advantage in handling cameras and public attention, while the newer contestants could bring unpredictable reactions and fresh perspectives.
The season also marks another Bigg Boss Kannada journey for Kiccha Sudeep, who returns as the host for the 13th edition. The season officially began on September 6, 2026.
Bigg Boss Kannada 13: Who Could Become a Fan Favourite?
It is still far too early to predict the winner, but several contestants already have established fan bases.
Kavya Gowda enters with the popularity she gained through Bhagyalakshmi, while Tandav Ram has recognition from Jodi Hakki. Soundarya Shetty brings experience from another major reality show through Splitsvilla.
Meanwhile, contestants such as Modern Mahakavi Manja, Dhanush, Kiran Shashtry and Likith Gondi could become surprise performers because viewers may be seeing them in a major reality show for the first time.
Ultimately, the real test will begin once the contestants face nominations, tasks, conflicts, friendships and eliminations.
